Sample Cooler

A sample cooler is a heat exchanger used to cool high-temperature and high-pressure fluid samples to a safe, stable temperature for laboratory analysis or on-line instrumentation. It works by passing the hot sample through an internal coil while a cooler fluid, typically water, flows through the outer shell in the opposite, counter-current direction to absorb heat. This process prevents the volatile components of the sample from evaporating and ensures accurate test results.
